Global warming - Is it nature or nurture?
Global warming is constantly hitting the headlines with warnings about this that and the other but is it nature or is it nurture?

Is the fact that it’s already 20 degrees in the shade part of the natural world cycle that has gone on for millennia, or is it directly a result of our need for more stuff. If only I had the latest Vista Vespa mp4b plasma I would be able to be a much better person and could sack that life coach, who quite frankly is starting to annoy me far more than any of the issues I once had... and miss so much!

A big half of me thinks that it’s the planet just doing its thing. There was a programme on TV the other week which went into how we humans produced 1% of all the C02 and in reality the oceans produce the vast majority of any C02, with the trees a close second and cows mudding the water in third.

The driving force behind this C02 all started with Maggi Thatcher stopping the miners from digging up the coal and burning it instead of using some cheaper nuclear option. She was looking for ways to big up nuclear and so commissioned research into how C02 was damaging to the planet, ultimately getting people to accept nuclear as the cleaner option. So it’s those three headed fish in the Irish Sea that are to blame for the bulk of over production of C02!

The programme went on to say that C02 had diddly squat to do with the temperature rising and it is in fact part of the natural cycle of life. But now a billion pound industry, that has grown up around scaring us into worrying about our own C02 production, has to find resources from somewhere and government is only too pleased to keep the peasants focussed on these issues while it borrows another 20 billion from the world bank to fund the next round of consultant fees to look into how the three headed fish in fact is a ancient mariner, lost in an underground ocean that has only been unlocked recently by the toxic waste that somehow got onto the sea bed. And if we hadn’t had the toxic waste these creatures would have gone unnoticed forever and so thank goodness we have nuclear power.

So is it nature, or is it nurture... why not have your say...
